The Dumont, which is named after Brazilian aviation pioneer Alberto Santos-Dumont, features the all-new Catrike Front Suspension. The front suspension creates a more dynamic ride with anti-dive and anti-roll behavior without needing a torsional bar between the front ends of the trike.
With minimum weight and stack height, the advanced suspension system also improves shock absorption, damping qualities and noise vibration harshness (NVH) reduction. It combines Catrike’s award-winning engineering and design with advanced materials and technology, including Cellasto®, a microcellular polyurethane elastomer (MPU) developed by BASF Polyurethanes North America and sold as finished product mainly to the automotive industry.

We first learned Cellasto’s unique properties while developing our front suspension and knew that we had found the final piece of the puzzle to develop a superior system. Cellasto is far superior to ordinary rubber elastomers, and it is the only material at our level standards to be incorporated in a Catrike.
