Paul Stem Cap Mount
The Stem Cap Light Mount is traditionally used to mount a light, computer, or handlebar accessory right above the center of an upright bicycle stem. Designed to replace the top cap of a threadless stem, this light mount provides a perch for accessories that would normally mount on the handlebars. They are machined from 6061 aluminum and are black anodized or silver.
We, however, have found a great use for them on recumbents. These are a great mounting point for a computer display, phone, or GPS on hubmount "headset" of HP Velotechnik trikes. Because most handlebar mounts aren't visible to the rider on these trike and the mounting point is much closer to the rider than the derailleur tube, we've found this to be a very popular option. It also can work with certain displays/phones on Bacchetta's B-Pivot stem systems.
Like the stem cap it replaces, the Stem Cap Light Mount comes with a screw for headset adjustment. It is available for 1-1/8 inch systems only. HP Velotechnik trikes use a 1" (25.4mm) system.
